Sex Crimes In Cyberspace

Category: News & Politics
Duration: 0
Publish Date: 2017-03-09 13:41:00
Description: A Facebook group with about 30,000 male Marines posting nude photos of their female colleagues prompted a Pentagon investigation and a conversation about revenge porn in the military. But it's not just the Marines. Revenge porn and other forms of nonconsensual pornography are major concerns in high schools and among advocates against online harassment. Now, state and federal lawmakers are trying to protect victims of revenge porn, and many others are trying to change the culture that causes online harassment. 1A's guests include General Robert B. Neller, Commandant of the Marine Corps, Thomas Gibbons-Neff, reporter for The Washington Post, Danielle Citron, professor at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, Mary Anne Franks, professor at the University of Miami School of Law, Nancy Jo Sales, author of "American Girls: Social Media and the Secret Lives of Teenagers" and Rep. Jackie Speier, U.S. representative (D) for California's 14th congressional district.
