Last weekend, a shooting in Times Square left two women and a four-year-old girl injured. This week, a shooting in Brooklyn left a Police Officer in the hospital with multiple gunshots being stopped by his bulletproof vest – just two of the most recent incidents of gun violence in New York City.
On this week's episode, we look at the increase in gun violence and what can be done to stop it.
Our first guest is Jeffrey Butts, the Director of the Research and Evaluation Center at John Jay College Of Criminal Justice, to discuss the causes of the increase.
We'll also speak with Queens Borough President Donavan Richards, a vocal advocate against gun violence. He recently held a rally demanding an end to shooting and calling for justice for the victims. |
