A week after a tragic collapse in Surfside, rescue crews continue to search for bodies under a mountain of rubble and debris. With more than a dozen dead and hundreds missing, we are left wondering what exactly happened and is it a warning for NYC. This week we'll talk to Washington Post reporter Meryl Kornfield, who is in Surfside covering the tragedy. We also speak to structural engineer Allyn Kilsheimer who has been hired by Surfside to figure out what went wrong. Kilsheimer has done this before when he investigated 9/11. We will also hear from Cameraon Lory, from ARC PC in New York City, a company that does forensic work determining structural problems in New York. And lastly, we chat with attorney Steve Wagner, managing partner at Wagner, Berkof, and Brandt to learn what information owners and renters have access to, in regards to the safety of the buildings they live in. |
