Keep going and keep practicing." カンチガイ英語サンプルレッスン ~けがをした~ 2人がテレビを見ていると電話が鳴りました。ニックのお兄さんからでした。電話を切ったかおるは、心配そうな様子をしています。ニックに事情を話すかおるは、お兄さんが「けがをした」と言いたいようですが、、、カンチガイ英語 Nick: Is everything OK? Kaoru: No. It’s your brother. Nick: What’s happened? Kaoru: He wounded himself. Nick: What? He wounded himself? Kaoru: Yes, he fell off his bike while riding into work. He wounded his shoulder. Nick: Oh...you mean...“He injured his shoulder.”... 今回のミステイク “He wounded himself.” 説明「けが」という意味の‘Wound’ですが、この単語は誰かによって負わされた出血のあるけがの事を表し、戦争などで敵から負わされた怪我などによく使われます。一般的な怪我は ‘Injure’を使います。誰のせいでもなく自分で転んでけがをした時などは ‘injured one’s self’をセットで使います。例文 1.My grand father was wounded in WWII.He got shot in the arm. 2.He feel off his bicycle and injured himself. アッテル英会話 Nick: Is everything OK?
