Imaging of amyloid β in Alzheimer's disease with a novel PET tracer Amyloid β (Aβ) deposits can be imaged by PET, but most Aβ PET ligands are not suitable for clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). To test the effectiveness of a new Aβ PET ligand, 18F-BAY94-9172, Christopher Rowe and colleagues compared its binding with Aβ deposition in patients with AD, individuals with frontotemporal lobar degeneration, and healthy controls.
