Description: The One Piece a Day Project, and it's purpose is to encourage people to commit to picking up just one piece of trash a day. Using leverage to have many small efforts create one big impact. If even 10% of the nations population picked up one piece of trash during their daily routine, that would reduce trash in the country by about 30 million pieces per day. The philosophy around this was to create something that can have a big impact, but doesn't require a large time, or monetary commitment from people. Something that they can be a part of and can incorporate into their daily routines and have it become a daily habit. We're having what we're calling our First Annual Action Day on November 12th, 2009 to see how many people we can have on board and committing to picking up one piece of trash that day. Our goal is 100,000 people or more.
