For the next few days IVECCS is taking over the Vet Vault, or the Vet Vault is taking over IVECSS, I’m not sure which is which! We’ll post a short highlights reel every day from our conversations with the amazing speakers at IVECCS '23 about what is new and what’s important in the land of emergency and critical care.
Today we chatted with
I’m sitting in my hotel room - it’s late, and it’s been an epic first day at IVECCS 23. I warmed up my live podcasting and ironed out a few tech glitches as I sat down with my first three spectacular guests to highlight some of the lightbulb moments from their talks. We’ll be Turing these into full length podcasts which we’ll share over on our clinical series, which, if you’re new to the vet vault, you can can find at vvn.supercast.com, but for now, here’s a little taster of what we’ve been talking about.
We have some higlihgs from our chat with Dr Gregory Lisandro talking about what’s different when you’re doing a AFAST or TFAST scan on a cat vs a dogs, and why we should stop doing something called flashing when we do a fast scan - which is where you scan until you find something and then stop, then we’ve got two very cool tricks from Dr Elke Rudloff for diagnosing gi foreign bodies and for treating intuss., and we wrap up the day with Dr Raegan Wells talking about snake bite diagnostics. Enjoy!
Oh, and if you like these and yo want to try out our clinical podcast subscription - we have a huge special for IVECCS - shoot me an email at info@vetvault.com and I’ll send you your 40% discount code. Ok, Dr Gregory Lisandro
