Description:

My guest on the show today grew up in West Auckland watching action movies and playing footy on the front lawn with his brothers. He went on to a play Super Rugby for the Chiefs and Crusaders, attained one cap for All Blacks against the Aussies, and had a long stint playing club rugby in France. His name is Kevin Senio and after a positive professional playing career, he now works for the New Zealand Rugby Players Association helping school and young players do the same.

In this episode, Kevin and I chat about the sports he played growing up, the important lessons he learnt along the way, and how pursuing rugby came to be. We discuss his playing journey from schoolboy to All Black rugby, the challenges he faced along the way and how he dealt with them, and what made him successful. And we finish the show talking about Kevin’s role with the NZRPA, why he loves working with youth, and how he helps talented young players handle the off-field pressures of a rapidly changing game.
