After last night's first virtual Sheperdess launch party, Sarah is back for another show to talk about the key stories affecting the NZ agri-food industry.
We kick off the show with Poultry Industry Association executive director Michael Brooks, who updates us on the supply chain interruptions to eggs amid an already tight supply with the national phasing out of caged eggs.
Then, we chat with Sarah Gilbertson about agri-tourism and how her Canopy Camping business at Waituna West began. She also tells us how to connect city folk with how their food is produced with domestic tourism after lockdown.
Later, Sarah speaks to the Chief Executive at the Foundation for Arable Research, Alison Stewart for an update on the harvest season, their new podcast ‘Cut the Crop’ and of course, the flour supplies ahead of Easter weekend for Kiwi bakers.
Finally, we chat to Professor Shaun Hendy about if there are any similarities between the covid-19 and Mycoplasma bovis eradication programmes? He also provides an update with the latest modelling on how we are tracking.
Sarah Perriam, the host of Sarah's Country, is joined in self-isolation still broadcasting from the Lincoln University campus as an ‘essential service’ with her guest co-host, her Irish producer, Joel Rock.
