Description:

While things are looking up for us Kiwis, the rest of the world is still struggling which is going to continue to impact New Zealand exports and global distribution. On today’s show, Sarah Perriam chats to another group of great guests to get their views and updates on the current climate.

First up, Sarah welcomes Matt Doocey to the show. Matt is the National Party’s spokesman for mental health and explains how National wants money to move faster towards mental health services.

Then, we discuss the massive disruption to the in-market distribution lines with special agriculture trade envoy Mel Poulton, who believes New Zealand is one of the best countries to get through pandemic disruption because it is so nimble.

Meanwhile, the feed pinch is real. We talk to Ivan Lawrie from the Foundation for Arable Research on the feed and grain situation across the country.

One of the best ways to stimulate the economy is large infrastructure projects. We discuss the challenges with Local Government New Zealand president Dave Cull.

Sarah Perriam, the host of Sarah's Country, is joined in self-isolation still broadcasting from the Lincoln University campus as an ‘essential service’ with her guest co-host, her Irish producer, Joel Rock.
