Welcome to another episode of Sarah’s Country. Sarah is joined again by four great guests to talk about the matters that matter most.
This Thursday will be the biggest Budget in a generation and Sarah will be joined by many to unpack it on the Budget Special of Sarah's Country. Tonight, Sarah will be joined by Federated Farmers vice-president Andrew Hoggard to discuss where he believes the most effective spend will be.
It takes guts to take your gear off ... as it takes guts to talk about mental health. Will to Live has paired up with the Australian rural mental health awareness charity The Naked Farmer to run a naked photo competition this winter to keep spirits high. The Naked Farmer founder Ben Brooksby joins Sarah to discuss how it makes a difference.
The Primary Industries Ministry has paid for two feed co-ordinators to pair up farmers selling vital feed with those who need it. Sarah is joined by Beef + Lamb eastern North Island extension manager Mark Harris to understand how this will help desperate farmers.
What to do about Wool? There has been a report coming from the Wool Working Group for the past two years and Sarah is concerned it has been lost in the post. There are many questions starting to be asked in regards to the expensive missing strategy document. National Council of New Zealand Wool Interests chairman Craig Smith has got a few of his own.
Sarah Perriam, the host of Sarah's Country, is joined in self-isolation still broadcasting from the Lincoln University campus as an ‘essential service’ with her guest co-host, her Irish producer, Joel Rock.
