Emergency Alerts have been issued as a precaution for parts of Auckland.
Fire and Emergency helped rescue multiple cars trapped in floodwater in Dairy Flat using a boat, and all persons are now accounted for.
An Emergency Alert has been issued for residents of Rodney, Helensville, Upper Harbour, Te Atatu and Henderson Valley.
An alert has also been sent for residents of Bethells Beach, Piha, Karekare and Muriwai.
People in those areas should avoid any unnecessary travel and shelter in place and gather essentials to evacuate if necessary.
Auckland Emergency Management duty controller Adam Maggs says that there's still saturated land around the region.
