US correspondent Dan Mitchinson told Heather du Plessis-Allan like her or not, she's been able to unite the party over the last two decades.
He says she is a heck of a fundraiser, and the Democrats are going to need a lot of money going into the 2024 election - which is why she's going to stay on represent her district, San Francisco.
