BREAKING NEWS: the last troops withdraw from Afghanistan, ending America’s longest War. President Biden will address the nation tomorrow on the largest non-combatant evacuation in history. U.S. and coalition aircraft evacuated more than 123,000 civilians. The Secretary of state Antony Blinken reports there are 100-200 Americans still in Afghanistan who want to leave.

As the Pandemic rages and mask wars break out across the country, three conservative radio hosts have died of Covid-19, including ‘Mr Anti-Vax’ Mark Bernier. The U.S. is averaging 155,277 new Coronavirus cases a day, up 5% in a week.

1.1 million customers are without power and a fourth Louisiana hospital is being evacuated amid power outages in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. Over 5000 National Guard members are undertaking search and rescue operations. With two reported fatalities so far, the Ida death toll is expected to rise.

New Orleans is left in the dark after category 4 Hurricane Ida takes down power in the City. Chef Jose Handres joins to discuss the World Central Kitchen’s efforts to feed storm victims there.
