A Texas judge issues a temporary order preventing anti-abortion group ‘Texas Right To Life’ from suing Planned Parenthood abortion providers under the new controversial Texas State abortion law. The President has called the law almost un-American, but the conservative majority Supreme Court refused to block it.

President Biden surveys hurricane damage in Louisiana and pledges to get power back as fast as possible. The catastrophic storm has now killed at least 50 people along the East coast. More than 800,000 people are still without power in Louisiana amid scorching heat. The Pennsylvania community has sustained severe tornado damage.

A source tells CNN that the booster shot rollout on September 20 may be scaled back to just Pfizer vaccines at first. There may be a delay for Moderna recipients as the booster data submission to the FDA is pending. According to CDC data, nearly three quarters of adults have received at least one dose of a vaccine. However, The CDC is asking the unvaccinated not to travel for Labor Day.

California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom may face challenges with Latino voters who have backed him in the past. The Latino vote is key to winning the State, but Newsom may feel that in the ballot box following negative publicity about dining in an exclusive restaurant in the middle of the pandemic, which some feel, let’s down the communities of voters who have lost lives to Covid.
