The mandates, which could cover 100 million Americans, are part of the six-point plan Biden announced yesterday to fight the pandemic amid the delta surge and stalled vaccination rate. GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy has called the vaccine mandates ‘un-American’.
Attorney General Merrick Garland calls Texas’ new restrictive abortion law a ‘scheme to nullify the constitution’ that creates ‘bounty hunters’, with Justice Breyer calling the SCOTUS decision on the law, “very, very, very wrong”. The DOJ is taking action where the conservative majority Supreme Court wouldn’t, and is preparing to sue Texas over the six-week abortion ban.
