Description: The government has announced it is 'considering' recognising Palestinian statehood, and will deliberate over the next month before taking its decision to the United Nations General Assembly. Australia has gone a step further, at almost exactly the same time Winston Peters set out New Zealand's intentions, Anthony Albanese held a press conference, confirming Australia will recognise Palestine at UNGA.
