It has anounced it is giving the Commerce Commsision the power to set petrol prices if it thinks companies are acting in a way that keeps prices jacked up. But don't expect any quick fixes at the pump - much of it won't take effect for another year or so. RNZ political editor Jane Patterson has the details.
