It was a comment made by officials when discussing whether to fund the continuous glucose monitors - which are publicy-funded in Australia and Britain. They monitor blood sugar levels without the need to do a finger prick. Now insulin-dependent diabetics say Pharmac's decision to delay funding is based on a faulty assessment. Ruth Hill reports.
