Disney's The Little Mermaid (2023) | Worth the Watch? - Episode 175 The Little Mermaid has been a Disney classic for decades, and in the age of live action remakes this was one that was inevitable. However, Halle Bailey's casting was sadly surrounded in controversy. But this movie has it all for Disney's live action age - new "real" CGI, new songs, song remakes, new actors, and giant budget. So, the question is - is it worth the watch? --- The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric.
