#9: Nostalgia

Description:

Time traveling is possible, I`m telling you. A nice chat with old friends, looking pensively at old photographs, sometimes even a familiar smell can take you back to the good old days. We human beings, have this constant, almost pathological need to remember what happened before and make some (sometimes) absurd comparisons with our present lives. "All past times were better" is the battle cry of nostalgic people.

Being completely honest with you, I'm not a part of this group, but the first days of January, almost inevitably get me oh, so nostalgic, and on this episode, I'll share with you the reason why.

SHOW NOTES:

• I'm not a nostalgic person, about 364 days of the year, except for the day I have to leave home.

• Every New Year's Night, me and my childhood pals get together and spend the night around a nice bonfire.

• On a more personal note, despite the fact that it gets me down (it makes me sad) I enjoy it. It makes me feel human.

• A word on Pronunciation: when we pronounce the words CAN and CAN'T, the difference is not in the "t" sound (which is almost imperceptible), but in the "a" sound. In the affirmative (CAN), the sound is longer, and in the negative is shorter, like an abrupt stop.

• The songs used on this episode are:

— Background song: Reflets Dans L'Eau; La Soiree Dans Grenade; Minstrels by Claude Debussy.

— Final song: Nostalgias by Andrés Calamaro.
