Description:

Blues music has its roots in African American communities, way back to the late 1800's. A kind of music, usually associated with sadness and slavery issues, became the foundation for many other genres to come. On the episode of today I'll talk a little about it, and the legend surrounding one of the most influencial blues singers of all time. Do you want to listen to the story? Check it out!

SHOW NOTES:

Blues started out as a musical genre in African American communities.

The lyrics of early blues were also about slavery problems. Sometimes serious, sometimes satyrical.

Robert Johnson was one of the most influencial Blues singers. He only lived for 27 years, but his legacy is timeless.

Legend has it that Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in exchange for the skills to create the music that made him famous.

Here you have a couple of my favorite blues songs. What are yours?
