John and Mike Fralick discuss two recent papers – one, exploring the use of molnupiravir for the treatment of COVID-19 in adults at increased risk of adverse outcomes, and the second investigating the the use of apixaban in atrial fibrillation for patients on hemodialysis.   1. Molnupiravir plus usual care versus usual care alone as early treatment for adults with COVID-19 at increased risk of adverse outcomes (PANORAMIC): an open-label, platform-adaptive randomised controlled trial (0:00 – 12:50).

  2. Apixaban for Patients With Atrial Fibrillation on Hemodialysis: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial (12:50 – 25:00).
