Effects of participation in the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program and Prednisone in Community Acquired Pneumonia

Nathan and Amol want you to understand the following:

1. Participation in the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program has not appeared to improve overall patient outcomes or cost.
2. Adjunct prednisone treatment in community acquired pneumonia reduces time to clinical stability and length-of-stay in hospital.
