In this tasty episode, I have a truly wonderful chat with Diane Daniels. She is the host of the popular Medicare Nation podcast and the founder of the Weight Loss Nation program. This new paradigm in weight loss programming contains a podcast, ten mentors, daily virtual meetings and motivational text message, recipes, cooking videos, a private Facebook group, and more. Today we discuss that program, which I am honored and thrilled to be a part of, and her Medicare Nation podcast as well. There might even be a little sports talk thrown in. Diane’s personality is friendly and contagious so I’m certain you’ll enjoy this talk as much as I did.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN TODAY’S EPISODE…
1:44 Diane talks about why she started Weight Loss Nation
“If it’s out there, I’ve done it. It just doesn’t work for life-long because once you’re at a certain weight and you’re comfortable, if you don’t really hit the root of what’s going on, why it’s happening, it’s just a vicious cycle that’s going to continue over and over.” – Diane Daniels
4:02 Annette and Diane talk about why having a strong support network is critical when trying to lose weight
7:48 Diane explains all the components of the Weight Loss Nation program
“So, I’m try to get everybody not so focused on those stereotypes and to just be you and to do this in baby steps.” – Diane Daniels
10:41 Diane discuss how to join Weight Loss Nation and the different membership levels
“So there’s a show out there … something like ‘The Worst Cooks in America’ … I really could’ve been on that show, okay?” – Diane Daniels
12:34 Diane talks about the 90-Day Challenge that has a prize of a free Carnival Cruise for two
15:09 Annette explains when she will be hosting her Weight Loss Nation meetings as a mentor for the program
16:27 Diane discusses her Medicare Nation podcast
“Medicare Nation is my baby. I love Medicare. People think I am absolutely out of my mind.” – Diane Daniels

As a dietetics student, I was Immediately HOOKED on the Food Sommelier. Annette is a true inspiration for me in a fascinating field. The diversity of her guests are all equally as intersting and knowledgable in nutrition and the science surrounding it. I really enjoy the food reviews. They offer insight into the healthier menu options chain restautants offer but most of us overlook.

I LOVE that she reviews normal restaurants instead of the fancy places in New York that I'll never eat at. This information is something I can actually use to help me choose the best place to eat healthy when the hubby and I feel like going out to dinner.
