Description:

There are some songs that once they get stuck in your head will just stay there.  Thanks to Critical Role last week, we now have a Kansas Classic stuck in our mental Spotify.  This week we look at the new Bounty Hunter and her absconding with Taryon Darrington, we also get a look through the black orb of death under White Stone Castle.  Apparently it’s not a Sphere of Annihilation, but a Sphere of Transportation.   This could be the last arc of Vox Machina as they get closer to level 20.  Epic campaigns tend to get weird and extra planar, so it’s no surprise that we’re going to see more Vox Machina jumping through the realities.  There are still things to tackle on the material plane, and Taryon is at the center of a big plot point.

Our Question of the Week deals with what Taryon will do.  Will he obey his father’s wishes and marry himself off to keep the Darrington’s afloat?  Or will he stand up to his father, and do what he must to save the family name and fortune?  Put in your vote and let us know what you think is going to happen.

Question of the Week for Talking Crit, will Taryon Darrington marry to save his father? Vote and let us know. #Criticalrole #DnD

There are a lot of shout outs this week, let’s get started with Diepod Draws.  This pice of Vex’Thalia art is stunning with the way it plays with contrast and composition.  It’s one of those illustrations that forces you to look closer at the detail in the wings; as well as its ability to follow a natural line up the leg, while becoming unnatural as you follow the wing.  It’s just the hint of Vex that makes it great, with the small feather and flare in the hands that any fan of Critical Role would know who it is.

The next shout is for another black & white piece illustrated by Robyn Hope, and it’s of Vex firing the Oracle shot through the sphere.  Again, the composition here is great, as we see leading lines that light up Vex, while the darkness shows the void of the Shadowfell.  The gradient of contrast here is amazing as we go from black, to grey, to white with Vex.  The layers stack well, and it gives off a yin-yang feeling to the picture.

Julie Rush is our third shout out this week.  Portraits are a difficult thing to do, and she does them with exceptional skill.  It takes talent to find the right emotional moment to capture.  She has done the whole cast, with a small flare of each of the PC’s they play.  Go check out her twitter feed and see the rest of the images.  It is stunning work, and you can see and feel the moment she captures for each and every one of them.  You don’t have to be a Critical Role fan to appreciate amazing portrait work, but being fan adds to the flavour of the art.

Just got into @CriticalRole, Keyleth's fire-plane Aramenté death-vision confession broke my heart. Quick drawing to deal with the trauma. </td>
