She began her career in special education, became a teacher consultant and adjunct professor of Educational Psychology, and currently teaches 6th grade English in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Cheryl writes about student motivation and engagement at The Accidental English Teacher. Denise Pope, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer at the Stanford University School of Education and Co-founder of Challenge Success, a research and intervention project that provides schools and families the tools they need to raise healthy, motivated students. Challenge Success is an expanded version of the SOS: Stressed-Out Students project that Dr. Pope founded and directed from 2003-2008. Heather Wolpert-Gawron, @tweenteacher, is an award-winning middle school teacher in Los Angeles. She has authored workbooks on teaching Internet Literacy.
