 Episode Summary:

Bo s passion for ceramics was ignited in high school, continued through college and in the early years beyond.  But decades ago his path took an unexpected turn and his creativity and love of food led to unexpected business success in the culinary field.  As his success increased more and more of his time was spent managing a business and the creativity that nourished him diminished, was replaced by stress.

9/11 was the wake-up call that led to a devastating blow to his business that was ultimately the turning point that let him to a ceramics class, where the passion of his youth was re-ignited.  Today Bo s work is exhibited in shows and he his happier than ever, having come full circle

Bo’s Gem of Wisdom:

You have to give yourself time.  It s not going to happen right away. You could do anything.  It could be creative.  Creative things are very interesting.  It s a whole other part of you that needs feeding, too.  Take it easy.  Try something.  If you don t like it, try something else.  If you have something you re really passionate about, do that.

“Internally it s a process of being kind to yourself and allowing yourself to try anything you want and don t be judgmental, that s the biggest thing.  It doesn t have to be perfect.  Enjoy what you re doing.  Get feedback from the work or activity itself to make yourself more whole.
