The New Yorker who fell in love with Mexico.
After visiting Oaxaca while working for an NGO, Maggie Galton moved to Mexico City in her early 20’s to study a Masters in Art History. At first she worked at a gallery of contemporary art and then started a business with her best friend sending folk art pieces back to New York.

She formally started working with artisans through Fomento Cultural Banamex. She´s has dedicated her life to promoting mexican folk art and the work of indigenous artisans.
A collector and designer by nature, Maggie’s exquisite taste is reflected in everything she does. Her passion for handcraft has come to fruition with Onora – an artisanal design firm and shop she co-founded with Maria Eladia Hagerman and one of my favorite boutiques in Mexico City.
