Members Reviews: Not a good primary source "The Complet Idiot's Guide to Italian, level 1" would probably be adequate for individuals who studied high school Italian 10 years ago, and just need a refresher course while waiting in the airport before a 3 day weekend in Italy. However, if you really want to learn Italian, this is not the audible for you. The pauses between each phrase are not long enough to repeat before the narration continues. Also, almost no grammar is reviewed. The accompanying PDF barely does more than put the words on the recording onto paper. Idiot or not, this is good! My 14 year old daughter has this audio constantly in her ears on her ipod. When she takes the ipod off (during meals!) she speaks Italian to us! She has deleted all her music on the pod and now wants the 2nd guide! My Italian friend cannot believe it and says she sound exactly like his sister in Rome. This must be good (for her) but not for communication in the house(sic)! Very useful while working around my home & driving Good use of repetition. Speakers were very clear. I believe I learned quite a lot. Contact me for any questions: inforeq17@gmail.com
