Christina:
Hey, everybody. Christina here for your Faster Fluency Conversation Club podcast. I hope you're all doing well. And today I'm here with Linda. Linda, how are you doing today? Linda: I'm doing all right. And how about you? Christina: I'm doing well as well. I'm getting ready for vacation. Well, when they will be listening to this, I will already be on vacation, but as we're recording this, I am getting ready for vacation. So looking forward to that soon. Anyway, so let's see, we're talking about mixing business with pleasure. And for example, when you go on business trips, do you take advantage of the trip to maybe visit some of the places because you're attending a meeting or a conference or you're meeting up with clients or anything like that? I don't know. Do you ever do that? Have you ever done anything like that? Linda: So the first thing that comes to mind is when I was doing my undergraduate, so at university, I went to social psychology conferences. That's what I went to school for, sociology and psychology, and before that marketing. But anyways, this was for, it was a sociology conference. So I presented one in Boston and one in Chicago. And unfortunately, when I went to Boston, I was behind in my preparation. So I should have seen Boston, but I really only spent one day wandering around Boston instead of all three days, because I was trying to finish. Anyways, but in Chicago, so I'm from near Chicago, so I've been to Chicago many times. But during that conference, I actually had time to walk the Magnificent Mile and get by the lake and do some fun stuff, so that was at least a mixture. Christina: Yeah. That's a good way to, I guess, mix it up. Yeah.
