ABOUT FABIO:

Fabio started out as an Industrial Designer and got his big break in the Car world at FCA.

 

Here, he established the building blocks of classic Italian proportions under the mentorship of the legendary Pietro Camardella (Ferrari F40, Ferrari Mythos, Ferrari 456 GT, etc).

 

These foundations proved to be invaluable many years later after a cold call from an Italian company looking for a designer to lead the development of their first bespoke Grand Tourer, The Puritalia Berlinetta.

 

Fabio is a Car Designer but has also designed many products. Since his move to New York City in 2013, he has been heavily involved in the drone business. In addition to this, he also manages to find time to teach at IED in Turin.

 

Last, but not least, he is a family man and a red wine enthusiast!

ABOUT ME:

I am a South African Designer, Digital Modeller and the host of Crown Unfiltered. I will be talking to a cross section of people that work in the Car Design Industry.

These will include designers, digital and clay modellers, vis artists and colour & material designers. The focus of our conversations will be centered around personal processes and experiences within the business. My aim is to demystify some of the preconceptions about this industry and give people an unadulterated glimpse into the business.

I also wish to give the younger generation the opportunity to see that the people that these professionals come in different shapes and sizes and some of them will be unknown. The intention is to see that you should always be yourself and not let your job define or change who you are.
