Brandon Hole was a very troubled teenager from Indianapolis. His mother, Sheila, had spent basically her son’s whole life trying to get him help, while also trying to keep herself safe from his violent abuse. I’m talking about a ton of therapy that seemed to go nowhere, police intervention and even an investigation by the FBI. There were so many warning signs over the years that he was just one bad day away from completely exploding, and possibly inflicting mass violence on others. 

But in April of 2021, he actually seemed to be getting better. He appeared more positive, upbeat and began making plans for the future to turn his life around. What no one knew, was that Brandon was at his absolute worse - and on a day when he enjoyed take out and a haircut with his mom, he carried out Indianapolis' worst mass shooting in history at a FedEx Ground facility. Sadly, mass shootings in America are not uncommon - but we’re going to talk about the things that make Brandon Hole’s story much different than any other mass shooter.
