This week on New Release … locals Ashley, Derrick, and Drew stay home to watch a TV-movie event that will surely have everyone talking tomorrow. After Twin Peaks aired on ABC in primetime—on a calm Sunday night—TV was never the same. Seriously. Only David Lynch could make something this weird and disturbing in a way that’s also entertaining enough to become an instant hit. We love Lynch like crazy and this was our first real opportunity to get into what makes him so special as an artist. The music, the melodrama, the oddball characters all mixed up in a small town setting … iconic.
