È importante sapere che in inglese la struttura di una domanda si compone principalmente dei seguenti 4 ingredienti:
1) Question Word, chiamate anche Wh-Questions.
2) Il verbo ausiliare.
3) Il soggetto della frase.
4) Il verbo principale della frase.

Per formulare domande in inglese, oltre alle Wh-Questions (What, When, Where, Who, Why, How) è possibile trovare anche delle Question Phrases, come per esempio:
- How far (Quanto è distante?)
- How long (Quanto è lungo / Quanto dura?)
