When you wrongly discern a problem and the area that it is influencing you can't apply the right solution....that is why we are taking time to work out the definitions of body and soul before going on in our studies of man as a spirit being. The Old and New Testaments in many places use the words soul/spirit interchangeably. When you have a clear understanding of each then you can tell within the context which is being referred to.
