	Description:		This is Part 2 of this series taken from a book called, "Scars and Stripes of Calvary" by Evangelist Stanley Karol, published in 1953. It seems that 60 yrs. later we are still dealing with the same roadblocks. Today we will look at the tradition-driven idea that God puts/allows sickness in our lives to bring us closer to Him. I believe 1 Timothy 2:5 says that there is ONE MEDIATOR that brings us close to God, and that is the man Christ Jesus. Sickness and disease is not an alternative mediator. A person may draw closer to God during a time of sickness however, and this experience leads them to believe that being sick was good for them because of the effect it had on their devotion to God. There are just as many or more people who get MAD AT GOD when they get sick. If God chose sickness to bring you closer to him, He chose a very unreliable mediator!
