Light rail service was suspended and traffic was delayed Friday afternoon at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport amid an investigation, SKY 11 reports.
Around 4 p.m., an emergency response was clearing from the airport.
A BWI-Marshall spokesman told WBAL-TV 11 News that a law enforcement investigation of an unattended bag determined there was no threat.
Passenger screening that was temporarily suspended at the at D/E security checkpoint was resuming and the terminal roadway was being reopened as routine airport operations resumed.
SKY 11 video showed fire trucks responding to the tarmac around 3:40 p.m. Friday. Some travelers began walking to the terminal as the traffic backup was at a standstill approaching the airport loop. |
