Season 18, Episode 5: It’s official: Dan Worrall is one of the five cricketers of the year in the 2025 edition of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack following a third dominant season at Surrey where they completed a county threepeat. From a lower-grade club spinner in Melbourne to the South Australian Shield team to the Aussie one-day team to then deciding to pack it all in to go full-time in England, he’s the definition of a modern journeyman. And now the 33-year-old finds himself in the mix for a call-up to the England Test team having now met the eligibility criteria to change countries. So, there was a fair bit to sink our teeth into when we caught up as he us through his unorthodox and intriguing journey in the professional game so far.
