Description: Psalm 40 begins with David in a horrible pit and miry clay, stating "I waited patiently...". God works both ways - the ‘suddenly’ and the ‘gradually’. In this sermon we discover the purpose 'waiting' serves. We also discover what God is doing while we are waiting. We learn four things David did while he was waiting patiently, something we can do also. And most of all, we discover the confidence we have, while waiting, sometimes in a horrible pit and miry clay. Be encouraged because God will bring you out and set you on top. God will establish your steps. God will put a new song in your mouth.
