In this episode, Juan speaks to Dana Blouin about her love for coffee and how Commune started out. Rosario Juan has been working around coffee most of her life until she took a break and started working in an ad agency. One day a space opened up and her love affair with coffee restarted.
After dreaming of opening her own cafe her whole life, Rosario Juan finally opened Commune, a cafe that serves Philippines coffee. She chose the name Commune because people gather and have discussions with a value added good local coffee.
Filipinos drink so much coffee, they don’t produce enough coffee to supply local demand.
