Description: Sam Bradley is the author of the upcoming book, Bridge Building. He was born in the southeast part of the USA, and still lives in that region.  Memories of growing up in a family that split apart when he was seven are painful to recall, Sam says.  His mother remarried a man who was bitter, vengeful and at times very violent.  Until he left home at 18, fear was Sam's constant companion. He married at 19, had 3 children (whom he loves deeply), and over the next 10 years sowed the seeds for the destruction of his marriage which would bear the bitter fruit of divorce just after the 30th anniversary. The initial marital separation and eventual divorce left him reeling.  He had become a Christian years before but never lived the life of a godly man as required by the Word of GOD (in the Bible) and therefore, when his life fell apart, he had nowhere to turn (so he thought). Through the crucible of brokenness a choice became apparent as Sam questioned why GOD had allowed this awful thing to happen to him.  The choice became either: turn further away from GOD… or turn toward GOD, try to draw near, and learn from the pain. He chose GOD because he had nothing else left.  But in the process of searching for answers and trying to find relief from the pain, he discovered GOD exists outside the boundaries of formal Christian religion (as well as within it). Since his restoration (from the divorce fallout – he still struggles with PTSD, anxiety and depression), GOD has blessed Sam with a desire to serve others who are on the path of brokenness and pain by offering this ministry of hope and encouragement as means of surviving the deep wounds left by suffering, whatever the cause. Sam's book describes his journey in Bridge Building, and invites us to join him in our mutual recovery from experiences that force us to grow.
