The commission is an independent nonprofit organization founded in 1991 to be a strong advocate for the public health & hospital system in NYS. Commission on the Public's Health System serves as a strong voice for public health funding in NYS/city budgets and supporter of community organizations organizing in their local neighborhoods. It also advocates for access to health care services regardless of ability to pay, language spoken, race or diagnosis.
