I spend a lot of time thinking about how to write haiku myself, and how to inspire you to write them and I hope you had a listen to my good haiku friend Liam Maguire’s presentation a couple of weeks ago about creepy crawlies. I was so surprised at quite how inspiring his workshop was. To be honest I thought the topic would leave me cold, because as you know I do not have a passion for insects, quite the reverse. Anyway, he got me writing and wanting to read more poems about these little creatures. Although, Liam if you are I will not be inviting them into my home, no praying mantis for me, nor crickets to feed them and definitely no cockroaches. And as for spiders… let’s not go there.
