Growing up, Julie’s mum brought her up to believe she could do anything.

Julie took that from the apple and cherry orchard where she grew up and ran with it.

While her mum didn’t have the opportunity to go to university, Julie did.

She became a lawyer and was elected to the Parliament of Australia in 1998.

Julie became a minister and then Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, the first woman to hold the position.

Fiercely loyal, Julie watched as one man after another took the top job.

She had a tilt at the leadership.

But the Liberal Party’s glass ceiling remains intact.

After the spill, Julie resigned from Cabinet.

Since then, she’s had us asking, 'What’s next?'

Will she eventually get her cake with a cherry on top and become Prime Minister?
