Earlier this week, the Central government banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliates for five years. The ban came after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted massive searches and raids last week on the properties linked with the PFI, and arrested more than a hundred people associated with the organisation.
In this episode, Indian Express’ Deeptiman Tiwary and Amrith Lal join host Shashank Bhargava to talk about the origins of the PFI, the cases it has been associated with, and what the ban means for the organisation. |
