A very good morning to you - I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Tuesday morning, the 11th of October 2022, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.

The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours;
The world and all its fullness, You have founded them.
The north and the south, You have created them;
Tabor (Mount Tabor) and Hermon (Mount Hermon) rejoice in Your name.
Psalms 89:11

Oh folks, He created it all, He owns it all!  
Let's go to Matthew 7:7. Jesus says: 

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Then in verse 11, Jesus says:  

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

If all the cattle on a thousand hills belong to our Lord, if all the silver and gold are His, and the very mountains belong to Him, why do we have an attitude of beggars? He is our Father and He wants to bless us! We need to change our attitude today. We need to go to our Father when we have needs, not to every Tom, Dick and Harry, and borrow money that you can’t pay back. Go to your Father! 

I heard a little story many years ago about two little sparrows sitting on top of a building. They were looking down and seeing all the people scurrying to and fro, running back and forth and driving at break-neck speed. The one sparrow said to the other sparrow, “Why are these people rushing back and forth all the time? They never seem to rest.” The other little sparrow said, “Well, obviously they don’t know who their Heavenly Father is like we do, because He supplies all our needs.”

Today, go to the Lord and He will undertake for you.
