Description:

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a hoax?

On October 15, 2009, an oddly functional homemade helium-filled gas balloon (shaped like a flying saucer) was released into the atmosphere above Fort Collins, Colorado.  The balloons creator Richard Heene claimed his aptly-named 6-year-old son Falcon was inside. A media frenzy and search party ensued. Luckily the boy was found safe and sound. Unluckily he wasn’t prepared for media scrutiny.

Welcome to the Creep Dive, a podcast in which hosts Sophie White, Jen O’Dwyer and Cassie Delaney investigate and report on the lesser known details of that bizarre stories that made the headlines. From con artists to encounters with the supernatural, we delve deeper than any normal person has time for and piece together the facts.
