Description:

GenZ and Millennial generations have always been very open about their mental health concerns and challenges. Described as the ‘anxious’ generations prior to the pandemic, the arrival of Covid19 only served to heighten the premium they place on protecting their mental health. One of the places this is most evident is how they are approaching their careers and the expectations they are placing upon their employers.

Today we’re speaking with Kit Krugman, Managing Director of creative and strategic transformation for co:collective’s Organization + Culture Design practice.

She is deeply knowledgeable about topics ranging from organizational psychology and behavior change to what it takes to build, nourish and sustain cultures people believe in and feel supported within.

Today, with the post pandemic and great resignation as a backdrop, we’re going to take a deep dive into work life balance.

Topics discussed include:

  • How to approach surveying your staff and avoid ‘survey-cynicism’.
  • How a business can (and can’t) support employee mental health.
  • Why it’s not about work-life balance, but work-life boundaries.
  • Why it’s so powerful when supervisors model work-life boundary protection.
  • The tactical steps businesses can take to improve employee mental health at work.
  • Why the pandemic has created a unique opportunity to rethink the way we work.

co:collective is a creative and strategic transformation partner for purpose-led businesses. We believe today’s most successful organizations are driven by an underlying purpose, one that is so central to their identity it influences everything they do, from capital investment to social media. These brands are ultimately defined by what they do and how they engage communities, not by what they say. For them, purpose becomes business strategy and storytelling becomes StoryDoing. At co:collective, we design brands, experiences, and content for firms that transform who they are, how they act, and how they show up in the world, with the explicit goal of creating more StoryDoers.
