RESIN TECHNIQUES

A 5 week class taught by Trent Reynolds

OVERVIEW

Epoxy Resin is an extremely versatile art making medium but it can be intimidating to get started. In this class we will get into every aspect of using resin in your artwork.

All instruction and recorded class discussion will be available to you permanently as long as you are logged into your dabbleon account.

All experience levels welcome.

CLASS STRUCTURE:

  Monday: group Zoom discussion and instruction (2pm PST)
 Friday: group Zoom discussion and critique (2pm PST)
  In-between days: private Facebook Group for continual discussion and sharing. 

CLASS OUTLINE

WEEK 1: 

  • Equipment and supplies overview

  • Basics of prepping and mixing

  • Adding color

WEEK 2: 

  • Creating 2D & 3D objects

  • Working with additives

WEEK 3: 

  • Mold making with wax, silicon rubber, etc

  • Prepping and pouring

WEEK 4: 

  • Masking & stamping techniques

WEEK 5: 

  • Layering and opacity.

  • A variety of finishes.
